Zariman Zainuddin graduated in Mechanical Engineering from University Technology Malaysia, and started his career as a Factory Inspector in 1985 in Factories and Machinery Department (currently known as Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety and Health – DOSH). During his tenure in the industries, he has been involved in the setting up and implementation of various management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. He was also a registered DOSH Safety and Health Officer. He then joined National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Malaysia as Northern Region Branch Manager in 2001. In NIOSH, he has acts as a trainer and consultant to assist organizations to set-up OSH management systems. He was trained in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and the new Malaysia’s OSHMS – MS 1722: 2003. He is an OSH auditor and qualified OSH, Environment and Quality Lead Auditor Course trainer for NCSB. He is also an auditor for MSOSH Award.
Since October 2014, he was appointed as the Vice President and Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) in Felda Global Ventures Holding Berhad, Malaysia’s leading global agribusiness and is the world’s largest producer of crude palm oil (CPO) which operates in more than 10 countries across Asia, North America and Europe. He is responsible the managing the overall HSE activities for FGV which cover more than 121 companies locally and world-wide.
